Aims:

The aims of this five day programme are to provide artists with the skills and knowledge to facilitate creative workshops for learners with different needs and abilities.

Objectives

An Effective Professional Workshop
• Looking at assessing the learner groups needs and expectations
• Positive Communication
• Teaching styles and maximising learning

Health & Safety Considerations in the Delivery of a Workshop and Disability Awareness
• Assessing the environment
• The differing needs of those with sensory, physical and leaning disabilities
• Examination of methods for tailoring a workshop
• Maximising abilities

Providing Learning Materials
• Preparing materials and assessing their hazards
• Designing workshop materials
• Scheduling the workshop

This is a rolling programme organised by Brian Reid of the Aurora Project
